We had a very lovely time on the boat. However, the day after our boat ride, I was contacted by the boat owner and told that someone in our group left blue stains on the white leather seats. I responded that nobody in our group was wearing blue, and it was not mentioned to us before we left the boat. Next I received an email from Boatbound saying they would not be releasing the $500 deposit on the boat ride as the captain reported that we left stains on the seat with a wet swimsuit. Nobody in our party wore a swimsuit, and nobody in our party got in the water. I suspect the damage was already there- and perhaps the cushions were turned over so we didn't see it, and now we are being blamed as they thought it would be easy to collect from a corporation. Boatbound has been uncooperative in releasing our deposit, so now we will be forced to dispute the charge with the credit card company. Bad, bad, business. I recommend not using this service at all.
My parents, both in their 90's, recently transplanted to this area, and this trip was a gift to them. They had an absolutely fantastic day, and couldn't say enough kind things about Mark and this boat. Thank you, Mark, for an experience of a lifetime for them - and for me, my husband, and my brother as well.
Mark went out of his way make it easy for them to board, and from that moment on he was a wonderful host, a knowledgeable guide, and a delightful addition to our family for the day. We were fortunate to sail on a warm sunny day, and we enjoyed being able to sit on the bench next to him for a wonderful view, or in the back section of the boat which he had opened up so we could enjoy the sun and the breezes. We also made use of the galley below - the refrigerator, the stove, and the microwave. We even dug into his spice rack and used some things we had forgotten. And he had a cooler on deck for our drinks.
This boat has been immaculately kept, and we were comfortable and content the whole time. My 91-yr-old mom even found the head very accessible for her. This was the perfect boat, and the perfect captain, for us. Thank you, Mark!
Great Time wit h the Capt Mark
