Very sorry but the boat is unavailable for now due to personal reasons. Will update when its available again.
The Bahamas is directly across from my closest inlet (around 10 minutes motoring to the inlet) - easy crossing to a great getaway. You can reach the bahamas in 8hrs under motor (although sailing is much nicer!) and then start island hopping, I have paper charts on board with cruising guides along with the charts on the chartplotter.
This particular model of Hunter is a sturdy yet incredibly spacious / comfortable blue water cruiser. With a draft of 4'10 she is capable of cruising blue waters with ease.
She is also a beautiful boat to take out for a cruise up the intercoastal. Lots of space on the deck or in the cockpit to take in sunsets and sunrises with a drink in hand - comfortable chairs are available onboard.
2 cabins sleep 4 comfortably with the salon table able to drop down to create another double bed taking the sleeping up to 6 if required. 7 if someone wants to take the single bed sized seat in the salon! (The boat is rated by the manufacturer for a maximum of 10 people)
Onboard you will find a Galley with a fridge and freezer, 3-burner cooktop with gas oven as well as a microwave oven.
Double sink with hot and cold pressure water. (Boat holds 150 gallons of fresh)
Air Conditioning with reverse heat if needed. (Shore power required - small generator onboard but not a large enough one for Aircon whilst on the hook - not required in all honesty as there is always a nice breeze but upgrade is on the way)
Salon has large seating area and flat screen TV with onboard media system / hdmi input.
Radio with iPod hookup
Custom made 600+ spring queen mattress in the master stateroom.
2 bathrooms with hot and cold pressurised water, electric toilet in master bathroom (which means luxurious toilet paper for bums is ok!).
At the helm you have the following
1. Touchscreen Garmin Chartplotter with integrated maps, Sonar (chirp) and Radar.
2. VHF with DSC
3. Autopilot (bearing only - upgrade to chartplotter integration coming soon)
4. Wind indicator
5. Cup holders and a built in ice bucket - well you ARE on holiday...
Charts are available - please ask when booking.
All safety equipment is onboard (please confirm amount of people so I can ensure enough lifejackets are available) including a hand held VHF, inflatable dinghy, PLB (personal locator beacon), flares and whistles.
This is a regularly used boat by myself, friends and family. With that in mind it is not a completely empty sterile charter boat. The galley is stocked with pretty much every item you can expect to find and there is always items like shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom along with bug spray or some coffee beans along with a grinder and French press in the galley!
That's my disclaimer :-) this boat is a 'working boat' but it is lovely and has everything you need and more - the pictures are true.
We could not have had a better Father's Day cruise aboard Guy's Hunter 40.5! The boat is fantastic to sail, very well set up, and perfectly located for access to some great inshore and offshore cruising around the Jupiter area. The boat was delivered clean and ready to go, and Guy could not have been more helpful or accommodating. I would highly recommend this boat and owner whether you want to bareboat or have the owner take you out for a day on the water. My family and I will jump at the chance to use this boat again and thoroughly enjoyed our day. My daughter just started in sailing and there was no greater reward than steering a course north on a great reach offshore of Jupiter with her sitting in the aft rail seat smiling and scouting out for dolphins and sea turtles!
As an experienced boater and longtime boat owner, I found the process with Boatbound to be very straightforward, easy to use, and everything as presented and promised. I highly recommend it as a perfect alternative to full time boat ownership.
Thank you for everything, Guy and Boatbound!
I had a great experience taking Guy's boat out last Sunday afternoon. The boat is perfect for a family trip including young children. The boat is equipped with everything that makes your trip and sailing experience comfortable. In addition Guy, the owner, was very helpful and knowledgeable and he made sure our day was a great success. I will be out on the water with this boat very soon and I can recommend everybody who loves sailing to do the same. Best Regards, Rick
Wow !!! A fantastic day with Guy. He is the nicest and most knowledgeable skipper you will ever meet ! Went with him out on a rainy day in Jupiter. The day started with rain and no wind, and ended up sunny with great winds. He loves explaining what he is doing, made us all feel at ease from the beginning. His boat is a true nice boat: we loved it. Two people in our groups had never sailed before, and they are now hooked to sailing, mostly thanks to Guy. We will do it again, possibly longer trips. Highly recommended.
A fantastic experience on a phenomenal boat! Guy has a first-class sailing vessel in his Hunter 40.5, an incredibly well maintained and upgraded sailing vessel. For a one day cruise or multi-day charter, Jack’son has all the equipment you’ll need! Guy is incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. While my father and I (two knowledgeable sailors) chartered the boat ourselves; Guy would be a pleasure to sail with should you need - or wish - to have an experienced captain aboard.
Jack’son is the best boat experience you will ever have. Bahamas? This chariot of wind and love comes with 12 dolphins who will lead the way. She's fully insured for island life.
Guy is incredible host, beyond incredible. If you can get over his thick accent, you will find a new friend in life with a heart larger than Jack'son. He is as gracious and fun as they come. We love Guy.
He had the boat clean and all ready for us. He instantly felt like a big brother handing over the keys to his proud and beautiful boat. He makes you feel safe, taken care of, and free to enjoy his boat and all its majesty for the days you are on it! He walked us through everything we needed to know and was so kind in letting us borrow equipment we needed for anything we might want to do on the boat or at sea. The bed and amenities are SO comfortable and easy to use, including the shower and toilet. Most comfortable bed I have ever been on in a boat. My fiancé was worried about getting sea sick and being comfortable. Fear not, it was the most romantic and relaxing trip we have ever had.
The boat has a great freezer and fridge, we cooked our meals on the grill and stove, everything stayed fresh and we had plenty of cocktails to boot. Guy has the kitchen stocked with anything you could think of to make your meals or drinks. Fishing rods, snorkeling stuff, maps, and a tv… any kind of adventure you want… you can do on Jack’son.
We sailed from Jupiter Island to many islands in the Bahamas, the boat handled the gulf easily. She does not draw much so we could get in close to some of the shallow islands. Kristin, as a newbie to sailing, felt like she got her sea legs fast. The boat has new technology, a great auto pilot and is very easy to navigate. Aesthetically Jack’son is gorgeous. It’s out of a romantic movie.
Speaking of romantic movies, we got ENGAGED during the sail. In Lucaya Bay, Bahamas, operation Knee Drop was a success.
This boat holds a big piece of our hearts and will bring you and your family or loved ones the greatest of memories.
I can’t wait to go back and sail her again next year. I cannot recommend this boat or it’s owner, Guy, enough. It’s world class and will be forever imprinted as one of the best weeks in my life. We wish we could give them both a 6th star.
