One of the main attractions is how well it drives and handles on the Richardson Bay. You will love it if you're an avid boater!
Note: A full day is 6 hours and half day is 3 hours. That time includes 10-15 minutes for re-fueling and 15 minutes for cleaning up.
"Pretty Girl" has adjustable Captain's Seat, depth finder, ice chest, life jackets - including one child and one teen. Cushions on all seats and a windshield to protect driver. Binoculars included for touring. You will enjoy the Boston Whaler's reputation for safety and comes fully insured.
Incredible experience all around! Linda couldn't have be nicer - the boat is in great condition and going out on the SF bay is certainly a memorable day. Highly recommend this boat and working with Linda.
The water in the Bay can get pretty rough and you may get wet, so if you want to go out in the Bay and see the sights, I'd recommend going in the morning when the Bay is a little more forgiving, or on a very warm day where you don't mind getting a little wet! There's also plenty to see around Sausalito/Tiburon and the water is much more calm.
The boat is exactly as posted and Lindas' service can only be described as excellent and extremely professional. If you want to have a nice day / evening on the bay with up to 4 ppl, this is definitely the way to go! The whaler also is pretty fast, despite having only 40 hp.
We took a very late trip on the SF Bay. This was probably a bad idea as it gets too cold and extremely dark quickly after sunset, what forces you to slow down extremely as you cannot see the obstacles in the water. Therefore we'd definitely not recommend returning the boat after 9:00p to anyone. The marina is safe and comfortable nevertheless and Linda helped as getting back.
Boat was fabulous, and Linda was even better! She went out of her way to ensure that her boat was ready in time for my reservation after some routine maintenance. I had my parents in town for the weekend, and we had a blast. I will be renting from Linda again in the near future.
Linda is by far one of the best people IN THE WORLD! If at all possible, go with her and her Pretty Girl. She knows everything there is to know, but is happy to share it with you. She should launch a boating class - it'd book out faster than Alcatraz [which we circled!]. Her boat is easy to control [even with the bay's crazy currents/waves] and even after an all day excursion, only set us back $9 in gas! Definitely going to see her again.
Linda is a fastidious mariner. Her vessel and demeanor reveal this is positive ways. She is attentive, responds VERY quickly, accommodating, and her Boston Whaler looks and performs like it is brand new (which it essentially is.)
Next time I need a boat, I'm looking to Linda first.
Linda definitely knows her stuff! She will share much of that maritime knowledge with you upon request, much to your benefit considering the complexity of the Bay's winds, tides, and depth fluctuation (the latter of which her boat can monitor, while many others cannot). I enjoyed taking the helm of her clean, sporty Boston Whaler to zip around the Bay waters and later explore the floating houses and sea lions of Sausalito. You may even, as did I, witness a seaplane depart from the water and zoom right over you!
Linda and boat are both amazing! The boat is clean, comfortable and easy to operate. Linda met us early and simply made everything a logistical breeze and even lent us binoculars, hads and a pair of sunglasses. Her boat is great for an afternoon date or a little Richardson Bay exploring. This was simply a great experience and looking forward to round 2 one of these days!
