Come aboard for a day sail along the shores of Fishers Island Sound on 38' sloop Easy Wind, complete with captain and mate. Leaves from Noank CT.
Looking to do some sailing this season? Let us take you and your party (up to 6 people) to the many lovely ports of call along the coast of Connecticut and Rhode Island. Whether you want to sail all day or pull in to a secluded cove or lively village, we know all the best spots in the area after a lifetime of sailing Long Island Sound and the New England coast. Spend the morning gliding across Fishers Island Sound, and then stop at Noank, Stonington, Mystic or Watch Hill for lunch and a swim. Or visit Fishers Island and nearby Flat Hammock beach. Sail past privately owned North Dumpling Island or across the Sound toward Orient Point, with views of the major lighthouses off New London, Fishers Island, Orient Point and Montauk.
Easy Wind is a Beneteau Oceanis 381, a 38' sloop designed for both comfort and speed. Moored at the beautiful and convenient Spicers Marina in Noank CT, she is easy to get to, easy to board, and safely maintained in a sheltered cove at the mouth of the Mystic River. Come along with captain and mate for a carefree day or evening trip in the beautiful waters of Fishers Island Sound.
Bring your own food or we'll provide full catering and beverages, for lunch, sunset cocktails, or early evening dinner. Our captain has 50 years of sailing experience and our mate has 35 years of sailing experience. Easy Wind has roller furling on both jib and main, making her easy to operate, smooth to sail, and fast. We've reached 8.4 knots with both sails reefed in 18 knot winds! With a comfortable and roomy cockpit, a broad foredeck, and a cozy salon, fully equipped galley, two cabins and a head down below, you can relax in comfort, have plenty of room to change into your bathing suit, lounge on deck or enjoy the sights from the cockpit.
Spicers Marina offers private bathrooms and showers and plenty of free, safe parking. Owners Vicki Chesler and Matt Kovner have been sailing for decades, in Long Island Sound, throughout New England and the Caribbean. They welcome experienced boaters and first-timers alike to share in the joys of sailing Easy Wind.
