The 212X is powered by two high-performance, four-cylinder, 1812cc Yamaha marine engines (total of 360HP). The engines are connected directly to twin jet pumps with three-bladed stainless steel impellers. No propellers to worry about; an added safety factor of not having a spinning propeller under the swim platform. But if you suck a rope into the impellers expect to spend 60-80 minutes cutting it out; vigilant rope control is essential.
Top speed for this Yamaha 212X is about 50mph on a calm day with regular fuel.

Fuel is included. This is very fuel efficient boat so I am willing to accept the cost of the fuel you use. You will not run this 50 gal fuel tank out in 10 hours; I have tried.
Remember, if you want to wakeboard, kneeboard or ski, earlier is better to avoid traffic and get that glass.
I will deliver the boat to the water and have it ready for use at the agreed upon time. I prefer Mehaffy Boat ramp (Mehaffey Bridge Rd NE, North Liberty, IA 52317), but any of ramps are ok. Remember daily parking is $5 per car at these ramps and there is no one to provide change.
Rental time: the normal BoatBound rental period 8 hours. Time always ends no later than one hour after dusk. Additional time, either agreed to or due to lateness, will be charged as per BoatBound policies. First-time renters should expect to spend 30-60 minutes upon launch for boat familiarization and driving tutorial with me.
This is a jet boat and it behaves differently than typical boats, especially at low/docking speeds. I often describe low-speed steering as “spooky”. If you have ever driven a jet-ski the feeling is familiar since it is kind of like a giant jet ski. However, with a little bit of practice at low speeds you will likely find the twin engine set-up provides unparalleled maneuverability.
Only renters with previous experience on this boat will be allowed to rent bareboat and trailer. If so
The total tow weight is about 4800lbs and requires a 2" ball.
