SHE SAID YES!
While we live in Wisconsin, my now fiance and I fell in love on a trip to Florida 3 years ago, so I knew that's where I wanted to propose, but how?...ON A BOAT, HOW ELSE?!
I'll get into the details in a moment, but for those looking for a quick review, Steven and his crew mate were attentive, accommodating and hospitable from first contact through the entire experience. For this being such a defining moment, it could not have gone better!
As far as Boatbound, they made it easy to peruse tons of boats in the Fort Lauderdale area. Steven's vintage tug had just the right amount of charm like a boat from The Bachelor. Upon picking the boat and sending a letter to Steven outlining my intentions, he responded back within 6 hours with suggestions and called me soon after.
Being this was new to me, Steven made me confident this was the right choice on the call. We hashed out a quick plan, and I breathed a sigh of relief that my proposal was becoming a reality.
On the day of, I somehow convinced my then girlfriend to pack for swimming, a day on the beach, and dinner while her believing I had absolutely no plan. As Steven and I agreed on, my girlfriend and had lunch at Pelican's ...meanwhile, I was texting Steven to line up the rendezvous. Steven greeted us at the dock nearby and...SURPRISE...we're ON A BOAT FOR A DAY!
At this point, the weight of the world lifted off as every moment after Steven and his crew mate, Sam, catered to us for the entire journey. A cooler for alcohol...CHECK! Music of choice pumping...CHECK! Stainless Steel Glasses with Prosecco...DOUBLE CHECK! And all the inter-coastals to traverse. Steven took the helm, Sam took care of our needs, and we just sat back and enjoyed the trip.
By sunset, Steven gave me that extra little nudge...I threw on a Cheesehead (silly, I know), grabbed the ring, and proposed to the love of my life! She said yes, and the rest...is lots of wedding planning. Steven ended our romantic evening at Coconuts for dinner and after some heartfelt goodbyes, they departed.
What was an entire wildcard only a week prior turned out to be a raving success, much in part to Steven! I can't thank him and his crew mate enough...the day is one my fiance and I will never forget :)
