This Sea Ray cruiser, the "La Marée Hélène" has the space and amenities for day trips or longer excursions. With two full and private cabins, including toilet and shower in each, this yacht is built for two couples. A full galley, dining area, and salon provide plenty space for food and entertainment. The large forward deck space with reclining sun pad makes this a fun spot to be either underway or at anchor in a quiet cove. The aft deck is enclosed and offers a casual zone for evening drinks with friends.
The "La Marée Hélène" was refreshed with modern interior colors and materials in 2009. Impeccably maintained and always under cover make this classic a desirable choice for your next inland water experience. For more information and pictures, please check out tnyachtcharters.com
Dennis and his boat were in immaculate condition. From when we arrived at the marina until we docked back at the marina, I felt comfortable and safe. He provided an excellent experience for a Tennessee game and being a part of the Vol Navy.
I would not hesitate to book him again and I'm hoping his boat is available again in the future for game day events.
REVIEW Dennis Beard and Yacht La Maree Helene
Our group of three couples would strongly recommend Capt. Dennis Beard and his 45 foot Sea Ray La Maree Helene for a cruise on the Tennessee River Tennessee Yacht Charters (email@example.com). We just finished a three day, three night trip from Lenoir City to Chattanooga and it was wonderful. Capt. Dennis is not only an extremely competent captain of his yacht but he is a very thorough guy who leaves no detail open. His communication in booking the charter and preparing for the voyage was meticulous. He made sure we knew what to do and bring and he took care of the rest. He became part our group in discussions and we enjoyed each other. Capt. Dennis knows the river extremely well and was willing to do a little extra sightseeing to make the trip just a little bit more interesting.
Booking is through Boatbound.com. It is important for Dennis to book through them as they provide his liability insurance during the cruise and that is important.
The yacht is an extremely well maintained Sea Ray maybe 20 years old. It is a beautiful boat, is clean and everything works properly. We did not stay aboard but the boat could easily accommodate four and maybe 6 for overnight.
In advance Capt. Dennis helped us to select the Terrace View Marina and Resort on Watts Bar Lake for our first overnight. This marina is family owned and operated. Mark is a retired Army officer and with Heather and their 7 kids they have a first class operation. This is a genuine American family running a family enterprise. The kids are great and work hard but are also a lot of fun. The accommodations were just right and the food was outstanding. The second night was spent at Island Cove Marina in Harrison Bay, north of Chattanooga. Also a first class operation. Our third day we passed through the Chickamauga Lock and by Chattanooga and then beyond, past Lookout Mountain, Raccoon Reservoir and through the “narrows” and then back to Chattanooga where we left Dennis and the boat and stayed for the night.
We traveled the third week in October. The weather was sunny and cool but with the wrap around canvas and isinglass we were warm. We were about five days early for good color but it was nonetheless most enjoyable on the river.
Plan ahead and enjoy a wonderful cruise on the Tennessee River.
My family and I spent a Tennessee football weekend on Dennis's Sea Ray and it was a great experience. Beautiful cruising on the river, very clean and well laid out boat. Lots of room both inside and outside to tailgating. We look forward to going back in the spring!
Great time with Capt. Dennis! His yacht is very well kept and comfortable. Good for a day sail or overnight with plenty of room for friends. Dennis is what you want in a Captain too...safe, conscientious skipper who wants his guests to enjoy.
